InFo-Lab: Research and Technology Development Laboratory in Computer Forensics
The Research and Technology Development Laboratory in Computer Forensics (InFo-Lab) is the headquarters of the Research Group in Computer Forensics and Operating Systems of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of FASTA. This group has been a permanent observer member in all preparatory meetings of the UNESCO Chair TECLIN.
The presence of technology in criminal investigations is undeniable giving the impressive advance in technology. The Attorney General of the Supreme Court of Justice, the University of FASTA and the Municipality of General Pueyrredón Partido approved the implementation of the Comprehensive Guide to Employment of Computer Forensics in Criminal Proceedings on June 27th, developed by the Research and Technology Development Laboratory in Computer Forensics (InFo-Lab).
The objective of InFo-Lab is the creation of a Protocol of Action in Forensics Computer based on the “Unified Process of Information Retrieval (PAIF-PURI)” for developing solutions to the demands on the field of Computer Forensics and its applications. This protocol has been accredited as “Social Technology Development Project” by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. The protocol will be adopted by the Public Ministry of the Province of Buenos Aires since this provide the minimum and essential guidelines for carrying out the researches.
