The UNESCO Chair in Linguistic Technologies, TECLIN, signs an agreement with DAIL Software
The UNESCO Chair in Linguistic Technologies (TECLIN) and the company DAIL Software have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening the activities of the Chair, the development of scientific researches, and the exchange of students and teaching staff.
The UNESCO Chair in Linguistic Technologies (TECLIN) and the company DAIL Software have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening the activities of the Chair, the development of scientific researches, and the exchange of students and teaching staff.
At the mercy of this document, both parties will develop together researching projects, and will organise courses, conferences, symposiums, seminars, and internships.
Both institutions commit to encourage the exchange of students and teaching staff between the universities assigned to the Chair, and between the aforementioned universities and DAIL Software.
DAIL Software is a Spanish company specialised in the development of linguistic engineering applications. The orientation of DAIL Software is to create tools and to provide services related to the automatic treatment of texts, with special attention to the multilingual treatment of texts.
The UNESCO Chair of Linguistic Technologies, implemented this year by the UNESCO and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, has as well as founder associated members the i3G Institute of Brazil, the Catholic University of Temuco of Chile, and the Particular Technic University of Loja in Ecuador.
The Chair, directed by the professor of the UPM Jesús Cardeñosa, favours childhood education in communities whose mother tongue is underestimated. The Chair centres its activities in Linguistic Engineering, childhood education, illiteracy, cultural diversity, multiculturalism, and transfer of technology.
The Spanish headquarters of the TECLIN Chair is located in the installations of DAIL Software in Madrid, as part of the agreement signed between both institutions.
