An expert on writing and graphology at the Ibero-American University of Mexico proposes to create a writing system for the languages of the country that are in danger of extinction. This is partly related to the fact that they cannot be used neither in the media nor in informatic systems.

A study carried out at Canada shows that bilingual toddlers have more abilities than monolingual toddlers when performing conflict inhibition tasks, that is to say, those that require to ignore a certain rule when there is a new rule that substitutes the previous one.

The semantic networks generated by an international team of scientists with the vocabulary of 81 languages show that behind the concepts of the words and the relations that are stablished between them it seems that it exists a universal structure common to all languages, which does not dependent on culture or geography, but on the human cognitive faculty.

British, Chinese and Finish researchers have demonstrated that people from different countries and languages take the same amount of time to read the same sentences or paragraph translated into their mother tongue (English, Mandarin and Finish). This means that languages are equally efficient.
