The Chair arises from a deep social need. From experiences of the last 30 years, it is known that one of the causes of the digital divide in childhood education is the use of dominant languages instead of local languages.
Ensuring that the infantile population of local communities can be educated in their own languages is now possible thanks to Linguistic Engineering, discipline able to automate the production of contents in different linguistic formats, adapted to each community. This is the context where the Chairs carries out its tasks.
