The Organisation of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Bolivia, and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), has published a collection of educational videos within the project Rescate de la historia oral en 36 lenguas y valores humanos a través de cuentos tradicionales (Recovery of the oral history in 36 languages and human values through traditional stories).

The Project has allowed the recovery of tales and stories in 31 native languages of the 36 nations of Bolivia, which have been recreated in fiction documentaries where the communities have participated actively, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a note.

The collection was presented on Friday, at La Paz, in the presence of the Bolivian minister of Culture and Tourism, Marko Machicao, the Secretary-General of the OEI, Pualo Speller, the representative of the OEI in Bolivia, Cesar Córdova, personal of the AECID and of the Spanish Embassy, a representative of the African-Bolivian nation, Tomasa Lacaveri, and representatives of various indigenous communities.

The work serves to recover culture as well as to favour the development, recognition, and self-identification, notes the Bolivian Government.
